Modern signaling uses one or two lights showing several aspects using the following colors: black (no lights) - Stop, white - Warning, blue - Clear, green - Restrictive. The signal head's background is reflective. The blue light is created by raising and holding a weighted lens in front of the white light. All aspects are fail-safe.
