The Pamela was one of the fruits introduced by the Zhonyo. Although the Illomi initially kept a distance to the fruit do to its smell, they learned from the Zhonyo that the fruit had an appealing sweet-sour taste previously unknown to the Illomi.

Due to the fruit's odor, and the meat's tendency to become oily if compressed, parents use the fruit to chastise children for certain transgressions. When tossed against the skull, the oil will penetrate strands of hair so that the hair smells like manure. Unless heavy duty chemicals are used to clean the hair, the only way to remove the odor is to shave the hair off.
