As a creole, Delang doesn't have many general rules of syntax. These general rules of syntax do however apply:
- Inanimate object cannot be agent of a sentence.
- If a sentence cannot immediately be understood, the word order should be agent - verb - patient.
- Relative clauses follows the word it is linked to.
